How Does It Work?

The body has an inborn ability to self regulate, heal and stay well. This is housed in the nervous system (brain, spinal cord and a network of nerves) which controls and connects the whole body. The skull protects the brain and the moving bones of the spine protect the vulnerable pathways of the spinal cord and nerves.

When joints of the body fail to function normally, they lose their position and adopt abnormal movement patterns. This is called a Subluxation, which can occur at any joint, and especially in the spine. This irritation to the bones and cartilage of the joint, stabilizing ligaments, supporting muscles and delicate nerves, can result in various symptoms not limited to headaches/migraines, neck & back pain, arm & leg pain, dizziness, shooting pains, numbness, tingling and muscle spasms.

Spinal subluxations that interefere with nerves also impair the ability of the nervous system to express its inborn healing potential affecting the quality of life and health.

Our chiropractor examines the practice member, specifically the area of the complaint, and the spine, to determine if there is proper spinal motion and position. Chiropractic adjustments are performed to correct the misalignments and allow the joint to return to a better position which, in turn facilitates the body’s own healing process.

Chiropractic adjustments help reduce Subluxations, making you feel better, by removing nerve injury, aches, pains and relaxing muscle spasms, heal faster, by enhancing the body’s healing ability, and therefore allowing you to enjoy a fuller, healthier life.
