Types of Care

There are three phases the body goes through to heal any injury. Chiropractic care in our practice aligns itself with these three phases of healing, so that your body gets the best results.

Our practice usually recommends and provides a series of chiropractic adjustments over a period of time. Just like a consistent program of exercise to get fit and strong, your care is designed to cumulatively build on each other too. In addition to your Chiropractic care, you will be given advice and recommendations to continue the healing process outside of our practice. To the degree that you follow through with our recommendations, we expect your results to be proportionately greater.

  1. Crisis Care:
    • Initial stage of treatment.
    • Aim: Pain and symptom relief.
    • Duration varies from person to person: average 1 to 6 weeks
  2. Recovery & Stabilisation:
    • Very important stage of treatment immediately following reduction in pain and symptoms
    • Pain can come and go very quickly. If no recovery takes place, relapse, re-injury and worse can occur.
    • Aim: To control, stabilize and allow the body to heal as strong, normal and flexible as possible.
    • Duration varies from person to person: average 3 to 12 weeks
  3. Preventative & Wellness:
    • Less frequent, yet consistent Wellness check-ups
    • Aim: To maintain and enhance your spine, body and nervous system function
    • Catch minor problems before they become serious
    • Like maintaining your teeth, your family, or your faith, maintaining the integrity of your spine, body and nerve system requires an ongoing investment
    • Maintenance is like getting a service for your car; the car lasts longer, doesn't break down as easy or often, and you generally have less problems with it.

Those who want the very best, add regular chiropractic care to their other health practices. The pleasant result is often more vitality, endurance, and the capacity to enjoy life to its fullest. Good nutrition, exercise, chiropractic care, and other preventive measures are definitely part of a wellness lifestyle. This is what many Holistic Chiropractic practice members strive for, as their quality of health and life increasingly soars. Prevention is much more enjoyable, and saves time and money because you stay well.
